Safety guidelines
Last updated: 2026
Pedyo connects customers with local service providers. Your safety is important to us. Please read these guidelines before arranging a service.
For customers
Before booking
- Check the provider's verification badges — they indicate what Pedyo has actually reviewed.
- Read reviews from other customers where available.
- Request a quotation and discuss the scope of work before agreeing to anything.
- Never pay large deposits upfront to an unverified provider.
During the service
- Meet providers in safe, accessible locations where possible.
- Let someone you trust know when and where a service is taking place.
- Keep records of all communications through Pedyo chat.
After the service
- Leave an honest review to help other customers.
- Report any concerns using the report button on the provider's profile.
For providers
Your profile
- Keep your profile information accurate and up to date.
- Only list services you are genuinely qualified and able to provide.
- Do not create fake reviews or ask others to do so.
Working with customers
- Communicate clearly about pricing, timelines and scope of work.
- Respect customer privacy — do not share their contact details.
- Report suspicious or abusive behaviour through Pedyo.
Reporting concerns
If you encounter a suspicious listing, inappropriate behaviour or a safety concern:
- Use the Report button on the provider's profile or in a conversation.
- Contact us through the contact page.
Reports are reviewed by Pedyo administrators. We take all reports seriously.
Verification and trust
Pedyo uses precise verification labels. A badge means only what it says:
- Email confirmed — the provider confirmed their email address.
- Contact confirmed — we verified their contact details.
- Identity reviewed — we reviewed a government-issued ID.
- Business documents reviewed — we reviewed business registration documents.
- Founding provider — an early provider; does not imply identity verification.
No badge guarantees the quality or safety of a service. Always exercise your own judgement.
Emergency situations
If you are in immediate danger, contact the Zimbabwe Republic Police on 995 or your local emergency services. Pedyo cannot respond to emergency situations.
